Alleged Insult on Igbos: Apologise Within 7 Days or Face our Gods Group warns Wike

Ositadinma Patrick Nwoye, the chairman of the Igbo Community Assembly (APO) in Abuja, has requested an apology from Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), regarding remarks he is said to have made disparagingly about Igbos while demolishing Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu’s housing estate.

The group threatened to punish Wike with the wrath of all Igbo people and the Igbo land gods if he did not publicly apologize to the Igbo people within seven days.

Nwoye brought up the purported statement made by Wike, “Why should an Igbo man be given such massive land there?” when speaking to reporters in Abuja on Wednesday. and that he will deal with Igbos in Abuja the same way he did in Port Harcourt.

He emphasized that making such disparaging remarks wasn’t in the nation’s best interest, since peace and harmony are desperately needed there.

We have learned of the purported disparaging remarks made by Hon. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, during his visit to destroy the assets of one of our distinguished sons, Hon. Evangelist Prince Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu.

Such disparaging remarks are inappropriate and ought not to be ignored. Since the Igbo people are not considered commoners in Nigeria or the wider world. That is why, in order to maintain the accuracy of the records, we must address this global press conference.

“Wike need to apologize to the Igbo people for allegedly using offensive language.

“That’s why an Igbo man ought to receive such vast territory, and there? and that he will treat the Igbos in Abuja the same way he did in Port Harcourt.

Nwoye remarked, “We want to remind him that Abuja is not Port Harcourt.”

Nwoye claimed that the FCT Minister had disregarded a court order that was intended to halt the destruction.

“We also wish to pose further important queries to Nyesom Ezenwo Wike over the aforementioned Asokoro land dispute.

First question: Was the destruction subject to a court order stopping it? Question No. 2: “If it existed, why wasn’t it followed?”

Nwoye produced documentation of the court ruling prohibiting the estate’s demolition as well as ministerial approvals for the Asokoro Estate.

He informed the people of Nigeria that no ministerial approval existed for the aforementioned Asokoro land, but I have a copy of the ministerial approval with me.

“Wike is telling lies. Copies of the court orders are also available. To prove that he was properly served, we also have copies of the proof of service.

The organization demanded that President Bola Tinubu summon the minister to order, characterizing Wike’s actions as nothing more than intimidation, hostility, and envy for the Igbo people.
