At the fourth summit of FOWOSO, Wike, accompanied by Rivers Head of Service Mr. Rufus Godwin, made the donation.
He praised the life-altering initiative of Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, wife of the governor of Ondo State.
He stated that gender equality must be ensured immediately and that every political party must ensure that women hold at least 30% of its elective positions.
The governor of Rivers asked women to give their male counterparts a lot of support in the polls in 2023.
Also, Mrs. Anyanwu-Akeredolu said that the world would be better if women had enough places to work in all areas of human endeavor.
The theme of the summit is “Bridging the Gender Gap in the Political Arena: A Case for Nigerian Women.”
