Gunmen assassinate Delta APC chieftain

Sylvester Efeurhobo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, was slain in Delta State by gunmen who are reportedly professional killers.

The APC stalwart was reportedly shot dead by the intruders who broke into his rural home in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the State.

According to reports, the deceased served as the chairman of the Achievers Group in Agbarho, a local APC support group.

He was described as “a dedicated party faithful, a brother and father, generous to the bone”.
Since then, party supporters in the neighborhood have urged law enforcement, especially the police, to “fish out the hooligans and ensure that justice takes its due course in the matter.”

“The perpetrators should be brought to book, as we do mourn the deceased”, the party leaders stated.

The killing was confirmed when contacted by DSP Bright Edafe, the police public relations officer for Delta State Command.

In connection with the horrific murder, the PPRO confirmed that three individuals have been detained while the investigation is still ongoing.

He said, “Confirmed, we are still investigating. So far, three suspects have been arrested”.
