Osinbajo arrives in Nairobi for the Mo Ibrahim forum

In order to participate in the 2023 Mo Ibrahim Governance Weekend (IGW), Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has traveled to Nairobi, Kenya.

The forum’s focus is on “Global Africa.”

Top Kenyan government officials, including Amb. Yusuf Yunusa, the Nigerian High Commissioner to Kenya, and other government officials welcomed the vice president at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation, which organizes the yearly event, was founded in 2006 with a strong emphasis on the value of effective leadership and good governance for Africa.

Leading voices from Africa and beyond will participate in the discussion to debate pertinent topics related to the development of the African continent.

William Ruto, the president of Kenya, Mr. Donald Kaberuka, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the director general of the World Trade Organization, and others will also speak at the forum.

Osinbajo will talk at the inaugural session of the IGW Africa Leadership Conference on Saturday after attending the opening ceremony on Friday.

He will participate in a discussion with other world leaders on the theme “Africa’s Weight in the World, Highlighting the Continent’s Assets and Potentials.”

Additionally, the vice president is anticipated to meet separately with Ruto and Andrew Mitchell, the British Minister of State for Development and Africa.

Leaders from Africa and around the world will attend the forum.
