Using a new feature launched by WhatsApp, users can now edit messages that have already been delivered.
Propolitics reports that users of the instant messaging service will be able to edit messages even 15 minutes after they have been received thanks to the new functionality. The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, made this information public on Monday.
You can now modify your text messages on WhatsApp if you make a mistake or simply change your mind.We’re thrilled that you will now have more control over your discussions, including the ability to edit typos or provide extra information. Within 15 minutes of sending the message, you must tap and hold it for a bit before choosing the “Edit” option.
As the instant messaging service, WhatsApp, unveiled its edit messages feature, rather than deleting, below are the four ways to edit sent messages on WhatsApp:
1. Open your WhatsApp chat
2. Long-press on a sent message
3. Click on ‘Edit’ located at the top of your right hand, from the menu for up to fifteen minutes after.
4. Edited messages will display ‘edited’ alongside them.
