On May 29, 2023, Dokpesi, the proprietor of AIT and Ray Power FM radio, passed away.
The family announced that a day of tributes will be place at Abuja’s famous International Conference Centre at 4:00 pm on June 19, 2023, to kick off the funeral activities.
The message includes an invitation for dignitaries, friends, and well-wishers to show their respect and honor the late founder of DAAR Communication, Raymond Dokpesi.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on June 20 at the Church of the Assumption in Abuja.
The religious service will be a solemn occasion to honor the respected entrepreneur’s life and legacy.
Following the funeral mass, a reception will be held at the DAAR Villa, 1 Ladi Lawal Drive, Asokoro, Abuja, where guests will be able to express their condolences and show their support for the Dokpesi family.
On June 21, the burial procession will continue to the Dokpesi family’s ancestral home of Agenebode. A Liturgy of Songs will be held at Ezomo’s Residence in Agenebode at 5:00 pm so that the neighborhood can pay their respects to the late Chief Dokpesi.
On June 22, the main funeral activities will take place. At 11:00 am, a funeral mass and burial will be place at Ezomo’s Residence in Agenebode. The visionary founder of Daar Communication will be farewelled by family, friends, and dignitaries.
After the interment, entertainment for visitors will begin at 2:00 pm at the Ezomo family home in Agenebode and St. Peter’s Secondary School.
A thanksgiving mass will also be held on June 24 at 9:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Agenebode.
The church service will be an occasion for gratitude, as the community offers prayers and thanks for the impactful life of the late Daar Communication founder.
