Three people were killed and one was injured in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway’s Ogun State section on Friday when a Toyota Sienna rammed into a truck.
The collision was confirmed on Friday by Florence Okpe, the Public Education Officer for the Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
According to Okpe, the collision involved a DAF truck with the license plate RNG 558 XC and a Toyota Sienna with the license plate BDG 426 HT. She described how the collision happened close to the Total gas station that was situated close to the freeway.
Seven people—four male adults, two female adults, and one child—were reportedly involved in the accident, according to her.
Okpe stated that the driver of the Sienna was speeding at the time of the collision. She claimed that while the DAF truck was leaving the trailer park, the driver of the Sienna drove into it.
Okpe said, “The injured victim was taken to Isaara General Hospital for medical attention while the corpses were deposited at FOS morgue, Ipara.
“Operatives are still on the ground managing the traffic situation.
“The Sector Commander has cautioned motorists against excessive speed and advised them to use common sense speed limits.”
