Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) suspended governor, entered a not guilty plea to the Ministry of Justice’s charge of illegal firearm possession on Tuesday in front of a Federal High Court in Lagos.
Emefiele arrived at the Federal High Court in Lagos, as previously reported by Propolitics, for his alleged gun possession trial.
To appear in court on a two-count charge of illegally having a single-barrel shotgun (JOJEFF MAGNUM 8371), the embattled head of the apex bank came before the attorneys did.
He was charged with unlicensed possession of guns on two counts at his arraignment.
