In reaction to the fire at the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex, the Rivers State Police Command acted quickly.

The Nigeria Police Force informed citizens in an official statement issued on Twitter that they are actively addressing the situation and have initiated a full investigation to determine the facts behind the occurrence.

The message, released on the Nigeria Police Force’s official Twitter account (@PoliceNG), reads: “Rivers State: We are aware of the security situation at the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex.” The Rivers State Police Command is looking into the situation. We’ve initiated an extensive investigation to find out what happened, and we’ll take action against anyone involved right now. Stay tuned for further information.
