Former governors including Senator Sani Ahmed Yarima, the state’s first executive governor, have received a hand of friendship from Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal.

Alhaji Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi, Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, and Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defense, are among the former governors.

In an effort to bring peace and stability back to the State, Governor Lawal also extended an invitation to them to attend the formal launch of the Community Protection Guards, or CPG, a local security force.

This was said in a message made to new members in Gusau, the state capital, by Hon. Mukhtar Lugga, the chairman of the local organizing committee and the governor’s chief of staff.

The message states that governors from the Northwest are anticipated to attend and other well-known people from the country’s northern region.

“Governor Lawal has been urging the state’s previous governors to put aside their disagreements and cooperate for the advancement of the state.

In accordance with his oath of office, he declared, “He promised to be fair, open, and transparent in his personal and official interaction.”

the state has been a bandit colony for more than ten years, which has resulted in numerous kidnappings, property devastation, and enormous loss of life.

Governor Dauda Lawal launched the CPG as soon as he took office with the intention of tackling the State’s ongoing security issues.

Remember that the State Government hired 4,200 Community Protection Guards, or CPG, a few months ago? from the 14 Local Government Areas to fight the ravaging bandits.
