Following a gunfight between some criminals and police officers, the death of a suspected armed robber was reported on Monday by DSP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for Delta State Police Command.
“Following complaints of house-to-house robbery in Asaba and other parts of the metro, The CP Delta CP, Abaniwonda Olufemi, issued a firm warning to area Commander and DPOs in the metro to go all out for these criminals,” stated Edafe in a statement made public in Benin.
“Operators from Delta Hawk responded to a distress call regarding an armed robbery operation at Marble Hill Junction in concert with police officers assigned to the Okanam Division.”

“After being taken to the hospital, the injured suspect passed away while receiving treatment.”
Deltans were reassured by the police spokesperson that law enforcement would persist in pursuing lawbreakers, making sure the populace goes to bed with closed eyes.
