When citizens of Enugu State notice large numbers of troops advancing toward the Udi Local Government Area and its surrounding council areas, the Nigerian Army has advised them not to panic.
Additionally, the Army issued a warning to locals, especially those residing in the Udi council area, not to panic if they hear gunshots beginning on March 18.
This was said in a statement made on Friday in Enugu by Lt.-Col. Jonah Unuakhalu, acting deputy director of public relations for the 82 Division Army.
According to Unuakhalu, the Army Training Area in Udi will host the Range Classification Exercise from March 18 to March 21. This training exercise will involve a lot of troop movement and gunfire sounds.
