Following the elimination of the fuel subsidy, Rev. Tajan Moltok, the resident pastor of Shepherd House Assembly international in Jos, has advised Nigerians to adapt to the new economic reality.
In Jos, at the Church’s midweek evening worship, the cleric made the announcement.
He advised Nigerians to prioritize their travel and spending as coping strategies to lessen suffering.
“ Adjust to the current realities of life and the economy. Live moderately and be flexible to adjust, “ he said.
He warned the congregation against leading a false lifestyle in an effort to obtain approval from society, stating that following Christ was more important than appeasing others.
“If you usually eat whole chicken, you can reduce it to half, do not force yourself to live a fake life, “he said.
The current economic climate, according to Moltok, should also be a time for the congregation to consider investing and having several sources of income to meet life’s obstacles. He urged them not to use the situation as a justification for making concessions to commit illegal acts.
He exhorted them to rely on God to get through challenging circumstances.
