The appointment of CP Ayilara Waheed Adedamola as a new Commissioner of Police to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command has been approved by IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
On Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko Macdon, released a statement announcing that the new CP succeeded AIG Olatoye Durosinmi as AIG Zone 2, Lagos.
He noticed that Adedamola expected obligation as the 32nd Chief of Police Akwa Ibom State, and has held a lady meeting for certain senior officials of the Order where he guaranteed them of his status to work an entryway strategy for upgraded policing.
Reeling out Adedamola’s resume, the order representative said, “The Police Manager holds a Regulation degree (LL.B) (Hons) from the College of Ibadan, a BL from the Nigeria Graduate school, Lagos, and Expert of Regulation (LLM) from the College of Lagos.
“He was designated into the Police Power as a Trainee Partner Director of Police on the eighteenth of May, 1992 and has served in different limits including ; Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Oyo State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal and Investigations Department, Panti, Lagos, and Assistant Commissioner of Police – Police Mobile Force Office– FHQ Abuja, among others Before his current arrangement, he was acting Chief of Police, Lagos State.”
The statement went on to say that the CP promised the people of Akwa Ibom a satisfactory police service and asked for everyone’s cooperation while cautioning officers to act with professionalism in their work.
