Bandits Target Security Personnel’s Families in Katsina

Between Friday and Saturday, there were two distinct bandit attacks in Katsina State that resulted in the deaths of two people: the father of one of the KCWC members and another member.

PROPOLITICSNG has learned that five bandits broke into Unguwar Yayyara village, Danmusa LGA, on Saturday at two in the morning, with the intention of attacking the home of KCWC member Isa Bawa Yantumaki. Along with stealing two cows, they murdered his father, Malam Suleiman Mai Rake.

A trustworthy source told PROPOLITICSNG that bandits on motorbikes raided Ungwar Damari village earlier on Friday at around 5 p.m. in the state’s Sabuwa Local Government Area, killing one KCWC member, Shehu Armaya’u, and two others who were only known as Lawal and Mamuda.

After securing a two-day leave of absence, the deceased Armay’au chose to see his family before passing away, according to the source.

These terrible events serve as a reminder of the increasing number of bandit attacks that plague the state’s rural districts. Since the new year, the attacks have gotten worse despite the KCWC and other security personnel’s best efforts.
