AC Milan manager Paulo Fonseca has showered praise on Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze ahead of the team’s UEFA Champions League fixture against Club Brugge on Tuesday.

Chukwueze has been in stellar form, scoring the decisive goal in AC Milan’s 1-0 triumph over Udinese last weekend. His standout performance earned him the Man of the Match accolade, boosting the team’s morale ahead of the clash with the Belgian champions.

Speaking at a press conference, Fonseca highlighted Chukwueze’s impact on the squad. “Chukwueze and [Noah] Okafor are quality players; they played well and with confidence. That’s very positive for a coach,” Fonseca said.

The coach further expressed satisfaction with his team’s weekend performance, emphasizing the importance of depth in the squad. “I was very pleased with the players on Saturday because they told me and everyone that we can count on them,” Fonseca added.

The Rossoneri will host Club Brugge at the San Siro, aiming to secure crucial points in their Champions League campaign.
