Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has urged residents to vote en masse on Saturday, November 11.
In a statement issued on Friday, Fanwo stated that the state’s security forces are there to protect them and ensure that their votes are counted.
“They are not in the state to intimidate or harass you, as they have remained very professional since arriving in the state to provide security for our people, and we commend the Federal Government and security agencies for their commitment to peaceful poll,” he said.
He further stated that every polling station will be secure, and qualified voters will have the confidence to vote.
Violence, he believes, should be avoided We cannot afford to surrender the state’s tranquility to an action that should typically be a celebration of democratic rights.
