In a resolute address to the troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in Sokoto, the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Musa, vowed unwavering commitment to liberating Nigeria from criminality. Commending the troops for prioritizing the nation’s interests, Gen Musa acknowledged the sacrifices made by soldiers, emphasizing that despite injuries and loss of lives, the mission to eradicate criminality, banditry, and insurgency must persist. He conveyed the President’s steadfast support and promised to provide unwavering assistance as long as he remains in office.

Reflecting on the country’s current challenges, Gen Musa encouraged the troops not to tire in their pursuit of peace. Expressing optimism, he emphasized that Nigeria has the capacity to overcome these challenges and assured the soldiers that they are not alone. General Officer Commander 8 Division, Major General Godwin Mutkut, echoed the determination of the troops to surpass their achievements in the coming year. He credited their success to the support from the Chief of Defence Staff and Defence headquarters.
