EFCC Seizes Betta Edu’s and Umar-Farouq’s Travel Documents

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has held onto the movement reports of Betta Edu, the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and her predecessor, Sadiya Umar-Farouq.

Edu and Umar-Farouq are being tested for monetary extortion purportedly dedicated during their stewardship of the service.

While Umar-Farouq’s cross examination began on Monday, Edu’s scrutinizing began on Tuesday, 24 hours after her suspension.

As per reports, Edu was addressed for over 10 hours at the EFCC base camp in Abuja, after which she was delivered on bail and requested to report consistently for addressing.

Edu’s predecessor also was permitted to return home after a long distance race cross examination and requested to return on Wednesday.

Channels television reports that Edu and her ancestor are supposed to be at the workplace of the counter join organization on Tuesday at 11 am to proceed with their cross examinations.

Review that inconvenience began for Edu following far and wide reactions that followed a spilled report showing how she purportedly dispensed ₦585m public asset into a confidential record.

Accordingly, President Bola Tinubu on Monday suspended the 37-year-old Minister.

The president likewise requested EFCC Director, Ola Olukoyede, “to lead an exhaustive examination concerning all parts of the monetary exchanges” including her service and its organizations.
