Ex-CBN Gov Sanusi in closed-door meeting with Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu is currently in a closed-door meeting with the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, at the State House.

Just one week has passed since Godwin Emefiele’s suspension as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) before the former governor met with the President.

The meeting’s agenda has not yet been made public.

Remember that Sanusi led the CBN from June 2009 to June 2014, when Emefiele succeeded him.

The President removed Emefiele as the head of the top bank on Friday and ordered that Folashodun Shonubi, the bank’s deputy governor of operations, take over in an acting capacity.
