An orderly for Chiji Collins, a former speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, has been discovered dead.

Charles, the victim’s only name, was discovered dead in a bush in the state’s Oguta Local Government Area a few days ago.

A few weeks ago, Charles, a police inspector, and a driver were abducted in the state’s Ohaji/Egbema region.

They were allegedly traveling in a Hilux and a Sports Utility Vehicle when they were stopped and brought into a jungle by their assailants.

Later, the driver was discovered dead, and Charles’ whereabouts were still being sought after.

Charles’ lifeless, already-decomposing body was later discovered in a thicket a few days ago.

The victim’s coworkers informed our correspondent that the death of the police inspector, who was from the state’s Mbaise region, saddened the command.

The body of Charles was discovered in a thicket in the Oguta area, according to one of the individuals who asked to remain anonymous. His body has already started to rot. In such a terrible way, he was killed. A cut was made to his neck. This is so repulsive.

When contacted, the state’s police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, verified the occurrence and stated that Muhammed Berde, the state’s police commissioner, had hired a team of police detectives to find the murderers.

The command, according to him, will make sure that whoever killed the Inspector was apprehended and put to face the full force of the law.
