Former governor Danjuma Goje has been dismissed from the All Progressives Congress’s Kashere ward in Gombe State due to accusations of anti-party behavior.
Goje is an APC senator who represents Gombe Central and is currently running for re-election.
Goje was reportedly going to be investigated by a five-person panel for two weeks as a result of accusations of anti-party activity, as The Spectator has previously reported.
The senator representing Gombe South, Bulus Amos, and the representative for Yalmatu Deba Federal Constituency, Yunusa Abubakar, were both expelled from the APC after being under investigation for alleged anti-party activity
The ward chairman, Tanimu Abdullahi, stated that the action against Goje was taken in response to several petitions alleging that he worked against the APC in the recently ended general elections when announcing the resolution of a 27-member Executives at UBEC Vocational School, Kashere, on Tuesday.
“In the course of its investigations, the committee has thought about the following allegations against Senator Goje,” Abdullahi added. Absence from the flag-off of the Gombe State APC campaign rally, which was conducted by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of our wonderful party.
“Failure to attend the Tinubu-Kashim presidential rally in Gombe State, which was attended by the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and his VP-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima
“Failure to attend all APC campaign rallies and tours in Gombe State, including the one in his own Gombe Central Senatorial Zone, Akko Federal constituency, state assembly and ward unit.
“Hobnobbing with opposition parties and their candidates with the intent to undermine the success of the APC in Gombe State and Nigeria in General.
“Open support for opposition party candidates by hosting the NNPP gubernatorial candidate and the PDP Akko Federal House of Representatives candidate at his residence and offering support against the interest of his party, the APC, among many other instances.
“Making unguarded utterances and pronouncements capable of undermining the APC administration in Gombe State.”
Abdullahi said that Goje’s alleged anti-party activities were in violation of APC Article 21, Section A, Subsections ii, iii, vi, and vii.
Calls and messages to him were unanswered, making it impossible for our correspondent to get a response.
