Alhaji Muhammadu Yahaya, the state governor, has received a vote of confidence from the All Progressives Congress (APC) branch in Gombe State.
This was said in a statement released by the committee yesterday following a meeting of the State Executive Committee that was expanded to cover state political developments.
“For his dynamic and energetic leadership, especially in these challenging times,” the governor received praise from the APC SEC.
The governor’s devotion to the well-being of his constituents is demonstrated by his unwavering service to them and fulfillment of his campaign promises in the face of severe economic circumstances, according to the SEC.
“Despite the state’s economic difficulties, his leadership has been crucial in providing benefits and vital services to a larger portion of the populace, guaranteeing ongoing development and advancement throughout the state confronted.”
The party also decided to approve a vote of confidence in the governor’s leadership, praising his outstanding accomplishments and commitment to public service.
“His ability to adapt and overcome challenging circumstances, along with the successful delivery of essential services and benefits, have been instrumental to the continuous development and progress of the state,” the statement emphasized.
The governor’s goal-driven leadership was also praised by the state APC, which also promised to support his ambitious agenda going forward.
However, it expressed grave worry over the ongoing violations of the party’s constitution and current election laws by a few of its members who intend to run for governor in 2027.
The party vehemently denounced what the potential candidates did for the state’s governorship, and pleaded with them not to divert Governor Yahaya’s administration from fulfilling his campaign vows to the state’s decent citizens.
The party declared in the Communique, which was signed by the state publicity secretary, Moses Kyari Bolda: “Therefore, the party hereby disbands all political structures and contact committees established by these prospective candidates.”
“And until all restrictions on political campaigns are lifted, all faithful party members are urged to abstain from engaging in such illegal campaign activities.”
