A restaurant in Abuja threatened to sue well-known chef Hilda Baci when she backed out of a paid event. This prompted Hilda to respond.

In a live video on her Instagram page, restaurant owner Hilda expressed her anger and explained why she decided to withdraw from a deal she had made with a restaurant in Abuja.

She took the action as she disclosed her own interpretation of the contract and the alleged infringement involving the Abuja eatery.

She revealed how she was approached, how she shared receipts and other evidence in her phone, how eager she was to meet admirers, and even offered to cook for no charge.

She continued by saying that she returned the N3m that had been paid to her to appear since she understood that what the Abuja restaurant wanted her to perform did not fit with her personality.

The 27-year-old chef said that the company was attempting to taint her reputation after attempting to capitalize on it. She also claimed that she was uncomfortable with the restaurant Vibebyann using her name as the headliner of an event while still charging attendees $25,000 to attend.
