A new commissioner of police has been sent to Plateau State by Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun in response to the state’s recent spike in insecurity.

Alabo Alfred, the Plateau State Police Command spokesperson, revealed this in a statement on Saturday.

The statement reads as follows: “CP Emmanuel Adesina has been appointed as Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, by Inspector General of Police IGP Olukayode Egbetokun. He succeeds CP Hassan Steve Yabanet, who has been transferred to become CP Benue State Command.

“Plateau State Command’s 45th Commissioner of Police is CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina. He is from Osun State’s Boluwaduro Local Government Area.
