Thirteen months after joining the All Progressives Congress officially, Iyiola Omisore was elected as the National Secretary of the party and it was just in time as the 2023 election was approaching and what better man for the job than Senator Omisore, who has consistently praised the economic viability of the country in various forums. In the past, he has consistently attracted investments at his various service levels.
Little wonder, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was very comfortable with the choice of Omisore as National Secretary. The President-elect knew his capacity, he was well aware of his doggedness and commitment to any course he chooses.
Senator Omisore has a long political history in Osun state and comes from the famous royal family dynasty, birthing a relationship with Tinubu which goes back several decades. This relationship was further consolidated because of the last presidential election and the incomparable role of Omisore.
While other parties concurrently experienced disunity and aired their party’s dirty linen for the whole country to witness Omisore succeeded in stabilizing APC. He also ensured due process and as a matter of principle, ensured evenness with the distributions of offices and appointments.
At the beginning of the electoral processes when parties we going into different caucuses for their selfish gain, to overturn the party plans against the already agreed candidate and cause party division, Omisore was one of the very few people who stood their ground and had the courage to speak up for the right thing which has led the party to victory now.
Omisore is one of the few people who led their parties to victories in national elections, making him a force to be reckoned with for his administrative skills and determination to achieve the desired results and this cannot be dismissed when history is revisited.
In appreciation, President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, during his acceptance speech, praised the administrative acumen of Senator Omisore and singled him out among others for his commitment and input to the victory of the party at the February 25 polls.
Omisore would be a go-to -man in the affairs of the country before and after the swearing-in of the President-elect given his demonstrated zeal and willingness to articulate his views on the nation’s affairs and would be a resource person in the next administration.
