Jigawa Governor Warns 33 New Aides Against Laxity, Impunity

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has warned the 33 newly appointed special advisers and assistants to avoid laxity and impunity in discharging their responsibilities.

The governor issued the warning during a swearing in ceremony held at Banquet Hall, Government House, Dutse.

“Your appointment follows a wider consultation and we are not expecting anything from you other than to help this government to move Jigawa State forward.

“There are so many unfortunate narrations about public service delivery from billions of Naira spent every year in Jigawa State.

” We are in government to tackle these challenges, such as high rate of child and maternal mortality, high rate of out of school children, poverty rate, and also improve our agricultural productivity, learning outcome, access to quality basic healthcare, wealth generation, growth, and development.

“We have a 12-point-agenda designed as a framework in our cause to make ‘Jigawa Great’. To achieve this we must work hard, embrace the spirit of patriotism, selfless commitment, fair and just, avoid laxity and impunity in delivering our public responsibility,” the governor said.

He however assured the new appointees that he would do everything possible to give them an enabling environment.
