Kashifu Inuwa Champions Universal DPI Framework at UN General Assembly

The Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA),  Infrastructure (DPI) Safeguards Framework. The event occurred on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

The newly launched framework provides a comprehensive set of actionable guidelines to promote the development and implementation of secure, inclusive, and interoperable digital public infrastructure. Designed with the public interest at its core, the DPI framework is expected to be instrumental in shaping digital infrastructures that prioritize safety and inclusivity, ensuring a sustainable digital future for all.

Kashifu Inuwa shared key insights during the event, highlighting Nigeria’s strides toward building a resilient, secure, and interoperable digital infrastructure. He emphasized NITDA’s commitment to harnessing technology for national development and outlined the agency’s efforts in promoting digital inclusion across Nigeria. Inuwa also noted the importance of collaborating with global partners to ensure that digital infrastructure projects in Nigeria align with international standards.
