Godwin Emefiele, former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has been granted bail by a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Maitama.
He was released on bail for N300 million.
In a ruling issued on Wednesday, Justice Hamza Muazu ruled that Emefiele must produce two sureties, both of whom must own land in the Maitama District of the FCT.
Emefiele was not present in court today because he was remanded at Kuje Prison last week.
Another FCT High Court ordered his release two weeks ago in a fundamental human rights suit he filed against the federal government.
The court postponed the start of the trial until November 28.
