Ahmad Lawan, the President of the Senate, has promised to ensure that the Nigerian government supports those who operate cattle enterprises.
Lawan claimed that the livestock sub-sector has been ignored for a long time and urged the authorities to give it the attention and assistance it deserves.
He declared, “The government doesn’t pay much attention to this industry, the livestock industry. And I find it remarkable that this industry, which has the potential to dramatically strengthen our economy, is being ignored.
I have no connection to the Fulani people in any manner, but I believe that throughout our history, the cattle farmers have not been treated fairly.
