When Obasanjo visited the governor of Nvosi Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area on Friday, he offered the praise.

“I witnessed the termination of former governors’ Abia pensions; you informed me that this pension plan is excessively ridiculous.”

It enables them to take whatever they can with them and to live in houses in Abuja and other places.

“However, the pensions of regular people from 2014 are unpaid, and you came and promised that this would stop Crudeness.

Obasanjo congratulated him and expressed hope that his colleagues will follow in his footsteps.

There was a lot of work to be done in the state, the previous president informed Otti.

“You’ve got a great start, but you shouldn’t give up or get demoralized because you’ll get mistreated and called names.”

“This country will be a different country if we have one-third of our states doing what should be done,” said Obasanjo.

He asked the governor of Abia to continue being conscientious and to give infrastructure development enough of his attention. He described the people of Abia as ambitious and added that they would be greatly encouraged by strong leadership and sufficient infrastructure.

“I’ve consistently said that if there’s any zoneThe Southeast is the only region in this country that, in my opinion, could truly contribute to regional growth since you are so homogeneous overall,” he remarked.

In response, Otti expressed his firm belief that infrastructure continues to be a critical factor in determining socioeconomic growth.

Additionally, he noted that the administration of Abia deliberately invested in infrastructure development, especially in Aba, which serves as the industrial center of the Southeast.

“We have completed and commissioned ten roads in Aba in the last nine months, and we currently have about 31 roads in various stages of construction and completion,” he stated.

Otti expressed gratitude to Obasanjo for endorsing the State Government’s decision to repeal the pension statute pertaining to previous governors and their deputy governors.

He continued by saying that he thought that “leadership is stewardship” and ought to be exercised with a dedication to enhancing the welfare of the populace via responsible management of public funds. Otti pushed for deliberate attempts by the federal and state governments to recalculate the cost of governance.
