Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, the current director general of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council and immediate past secretary to the government of Katsina State, has stated that the party’s ongoing crisis will not prevent it from winning the elections in 2023.
Dr. Inuwa stated to LEADERSHIP on Friday in Katsina that the division in the Katsina chapter of the party and the G-5 Governors led by River State governor Nyesom Wike are normal issues that will soon be resolved.
He also stressed that efforts have been made for him to meet with the former governor Ibrahim Shema for a reunion, and he dispelled the rumors that his defection to the party caused the division in the state chapter.
He went on to say that the party is also working on finding solutions to the problems through a series of engagements and ongoing negotiations in order to put together a formidable team that could defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said that Governor Wike is too intelligent to join the APC because he is a national figure whose goal of becoming Nigeria’s president can only be accomplished in the PDP. He also urged members of the party to remain calm and follow the law.
