Following the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s legitimately elected President, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will attend a World Press Conference today at 2 p.m. from his campaign headquarters in Abuja.

The Supreme Court’s ruling, which affirmed the Presidential Election Petition Court’s finding on all points on September 6, has elicited diverse views.

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has already expressed his displeasure with the verdict, identifying Nigeria as the ultimate loser in the aftermath.

The seven-member panel of the Supreme Court, headed over by Justice Inyang Okoro, issued a unanimous decision in Tinubu’s favor.

The court addressed the seven major points brought by the PDP’s presidential candidate and the LP’s Obi, dismissing their applications to overturn the election results.
