Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has confirmed Bisi Kazeem’s elevation to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal in the Federal Road Safety Corps.
Kazeem, who was an Assistant Corps Marshal before being promoted, will represent the country’s South-West geographical zone, according to a statement issued by Deputy Corps Public Education Officer Charles Edem on Friday.
The Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, urged the appointed officer to show more commitment and rededicate himself to achieving the corporate mission of the agency.
Biu was quoted as saying that “the exercise is part of the commission’s drive towards rewarding excellence, diligence and hard work which is in line with the administrative philosophy of the present leadership of the corps.”
Kazeem, who presently heads the Corps Public Education Office is a seasoned road safety administrator who has held several positions of authority and attended so many courses both within and outside the country.
He has a Master of Science in Transport Studies from the Ogun State University and a Master of Arts in Peace and Security Studies from the University of Ilorin.
He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management Chattered, a fellow of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, the International Association of Chiefs of Police in the United States; and an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
