President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Ambassador Desmond Akawor as a Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Ambassador Akawor, who was recently screened for office by the Senate alongside others, previously served as the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State.
The brief swearing-in ceremony took place just minutes before the start of the year’s first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, the President presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC), which included the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, and other cabinet members. FEC is currently underway.
