According to a statement made on Friday by a leading security specialist in Nigeria’s northern region, Zagazola Makama, troops from the 7 Division and Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai carried out the operation.

Makama learned that the terrorists were naturalized during an operation undertaken by forces in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force on Thursday, November 9, 2023, near Gime and Muzuri villages.

Makama further cited intelligence sources as claiming that the military seized three dane weapons and rescued 78 people from the militants’ stronghold, including 30 women and 48 children.

“However, a Hilux Vehicle transporting a Civilian Joint Task Force was involved in an Improvised Explosive Device explosion at Gulwa while on patrol.”

“I’m returning from the operation,” Makama observed.

He went on to say that as a result of this, two of the group’s commanders were killed and others were injured.

According to the security expert, the confiscated weapons, rescued individuals, and wounded were taken to a military medical center.
