Some PDP leaders in Rivers State have come under fire for endorsing incumbent governor Siminalayi Fubara, according to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former governor of Rivers State.
Wike said this on Tuesday in Abuja while speaking with reporters.
PDP leaders in Rivers State, including Abiye Sekibo, Uche Secondus, Celestine Omehia, and Austin Opara, as well as former lawmakers, had last week expressed their support for Fubara and urged President Wike to exercise caution. This information is recalled by STEPHANIESBLOG.
In response, Wike stated on Tuesday that politicians Sekibo, Secondus, Omehia, and Opara were all past their prime and weren’t deserving of the title of “elder statesmen.”
As he kicked them, the minister for the FCT declared they were all meaningless.
Since the court had upheld Secondus’ suspension, Wike argued that he was no longer a part of the PDP.
